IITB INV.ENT is an entrepreneurship research and practice conference conducted by the Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship, IIT Bombay. People meet, network, attend sessions, workshops, and events, get exposure to research across the entrepreneurship ecosystem, and hear talks on entrepreneurship in practice. Emerging scholars are invited to submit work for presentation. Conference dates: 30-31 January 2027.
Three ways to take part
Track one
A full session slot to present completed or near-complete work to a room of entrepreneurship scholars, founders and investors. Submissions are reviewed by a panel of eminent entrepreneurship scholars.
Track two
The format for early results, prototypes and precise questions. Your work stays on the wall through the day, and the conversation happens in the corridor rather than from a lectern.
Track three
Hands-on sessions on 30 January on entrepreneurship education, AI for incubators and related themes. Workshop proposals come through the same submissions desk as papers and posters.
On a broad range of innovation and entrepreneurship research themes. Case studies may be submitted as papers.
Beyond the conference
The strongest submissions do not stop at the conference. Papers the review panel rates highest are forwarded to our partner journals for editorial review, giving authors a route to publication beyond the two days on campus.

Review
Every eligible submission is reviewed by a panel of eminent entrepreneurship scholars.
Papers are selected for research presentations, and a further set for poster presentations. The registration fee and payment link are sent only after this decision.
Based on quality, relevance, originality, and potential contribution to the field.
After organisers select you for a paper, a poster, or as an attendee, you receive the registration fee for your category and a personal IIT Bombay Online Pay link. The amount is the same whether you present or attend.

Before you travel
Shared, limited accommodation is available at the IIT Bombay guest house on a first-come, first-served basis. Costs are borne by participants. Everything below is for delegates who have been selected and have paid the registration fee for their category.
Submission form
Log in first so the application is tied to your account. Paper and poster applicants upload an extended abstract as a PDF (max 10 MB). Attendees use the same form and leave the upload empty.
